BERYL QOUTURE by Anita Beryl, is a luxurious fashion brand, whose mission is to create elegance, and bring out inner style and beauty sense of its clientele. The Haute couture fashion house was started in 2011 by its creative director, Anita Beryl, a passionate fashion designer who is an alumni of the French Fashion University, ESMOD. With focus on haute couture and ready to wear pieces, BERYL QOUTURE has managed to grow into one of the most sought out fashion design houses in Ugandal.
Synonymous for its classy, timeless and very elegant pieces, the fashion powerhouse was able to hold first fashion showcase two months after its launch in 2011. This was at the Bride & Groom expo, in Kampala, where BERYL QOUTURE was one of the most sought after exhibitors at the annual fashion and design expo. The pattern was repeated pattern from 2012 through to 2013. Over the years, BERYL QOUTURE designs have featured on a number of fashion showcases & runways including Multichoice Africa Day Celebrations (2016), Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards (2014), The Genesis Fashion Show (2015) and so many others. At the climax of 2015, BERYL QOUTURE By Anita Beryl held its first international showcase at the Hub of Africa fashion showcase in Addis Ababa. The Kampala based fashion brand was one of two fashion brands from Uganda selected for the highly credible show.
In July, Beryl became the first Ugandan fashion designer to showcase at the Africa Fashion Week, Nigeria, where she received positive reviews for her breath taking collection. She has also showcased previously at the Paple Rayn 3 year anniversary showcase and Malengo Hot Pink Catwalk Showcase, a charity fundraiser for the less privileged youths in Uganda.
Our Creative Director, Beryl is a double nominee for the fashion designer of the year for the Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards (2014 & 2015). Because of her contribution to the fashion industry in Uganda, Beryl has been featured in a number of publications including Flair Magazine, 2016 (Women in Business), Daily Monitor (Redefining Bridal Fashion in Uganda), The Observor, New Vision, Bride & Groom magazine, and others. She has also been featured as guest panelist on the NTV Style Project for their bridal season segment. On 19 August 2016, Beryl was awarded for the Outstanding Fashion Designer of the year, at the Uganda Entertainment Awards, held at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
In 2016, Anita was nominated for East African Fashion Designer of the year at the Prestigious Swahili Fashion Week, and went on to unveil her latest collection at the event in Tanzania.
At the fourth edition of the continental Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards, Anita won the award for the Ugandan Fashion Designer of the year 2016. In the same month, she was named one of the top movers and shakers of the Fashion Industry in Uganda for the year 2016.
